The PWPW has been entrusted with the production of documents of special importance to national security – identity cards and passports of the Republic of Poland. The contract for their production was signed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration. Centrally personalized driving licences are produced under the contract with the Ministry of Transport and Construction.

Identification documents include holder’s personal data: first name, surname, PESEL number (personal ID number), photograph.

Undoubtedly the documents produced by the PWPW are among the best secured documents in the world.
